Scenes 12.3: Auburn Rolls Over the Tide

Scene of the Week: Auburn Defeats Alabama in the Iron Bowl

The Auburn Tigers did it. They took down their arch-rivals, the Alabama Crimson Tide, this past Saturday and are now 9-3 on the season. While Auburn snagging the win is a big deal, the biggest deal falls on Alabama which has now been knocked out of the College Football Playoff. Bama will now have to watch from home, as their season is over — until a bowl game of course.

Both QBs played very well, with Auburn’s Bo Nix totaling 173 yards and a TD. Alabama’s Mac Jones also played well, totaling 335 yards, four TDs, despite two interceptions. Both teams wait to see which bowl game they will take part in, and won’t be participating in the SEC Championship.

I can’t believe I predicted it.

Take of the Week: Saints Defeat 49ers Next Week, 49ers Lose Two in a Row

The San Francisco 49ers are one of the best teams in the NFL, and there is no ignoring that. However, it also must be known that they have a chance to lose two games in a row. With a loss to the Baltimore Ravens coming earlier this week, the 49ers travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints in what might be a must-win game.

The 49ers are making the NFL Playoffs, and that’s for sure. But next week’s game is super important, nonetheless. The Seattle Seahawks are creeping at the door in the NFC West and could take the No. 1 seed from the 49ers if San Francisco can’t pick up a win next week.

This is something to watch out for, and I think the 49ers will lose to the Saints next week.

Ohio State Defeats Michigan In The Big House

Ohio State is really good. Like, really good. The Buckeyes defeated the Michigan Wolverines last Saturday 56-27, improving to 12-0 on the season with a trip to the Big Ten championship against Wisconsin.

Ohio State is filled with star-studded players including Justin Fields, JK Dobbins, and Chase Young. All three are capable of winning the Heisman Trophy in New York and are all deserving contendants. Ohio State now has a tough game against a tough Wisconsin team on Saturday who also beat Michigan earlier in the season.

As for Michigan, their season finishes 9-3 and the team will not be participating in a conference championship. Many say this team underperformed, and I can’t say they’re wrong. This Michigan roster is filled with stars, and it was the year they were supposed to beat Ohio State. That did not happen, and (title) Jim Harbaugh has still never competed in a College Football Playoff.
